Hosted by Joburg Arts and Culture, Clash of The Regions 2026 brought together some of the country’s most promising creatives, featuring 41 musicians, 10 DJs, and 10 dancers competing across multiple stages of the competition. The journey began on 16 May 2026 at the Carlton Centre, continued through the semi-finals on 6 June at The Bannister Hotel, and concluded with the highly anticipated grand finale on 13 June 2026 at Aura Lifestyle and Lounge.

After weeks of intense competition, Papii Chvlo emerged as the 1st Place Winner, securing a R12,000 cash prize along with a coveted performance opportunity at the iconic Back To The City Festival, one of South Africa’s biggest celebrations of hip hop culture.

This victory follows closely after another major accomplishment earlier this year when Papii Chvlo won the Underground #21 competition, further cementing his growing reputation as one of the exciting emerging voices to watch.

Speaking on the achievement, Papii Chvlo shared:

“This victory means everything to me. Just two months after winning another competition, this moment feels like confirmation that all the hard work, sacrifices, and dedication I’ve put into my craft are finally paying off. It truly feels like a dream coming true.”
